What makes our Olive Eggers different:
We breed our F1 olive eggers a few different ways, to give a variety of color. Some will have heavy blooms appearing gray, others will be a deeper green. Either way, you’re guaranteed a gorgeous olive egg.
Why we love Olive Eggers:
These girls are some of our most prolific layers, giving us about 5 eggs a week.. They are a hardy breed with pea combs that do very well in our cold winters. Our olive eggers have great dispositions and personalities.
Olive Egger egg color:
Olive eggers are guaranteed to lay a dusky, olive green colored egg. The next generation olive eggers lay a spectrum of different colors, so if you want a guaranteed color, choose a first generation olive egger!
Information about Olive Eggers:
Olive eggers are highly sought after chickens, for their unique egg color. They have an interesting history, with roots tracing all the way back to 1842. Farmers were doing a lot of breeding at that time, resulting in a variety of different cross breeds, which includes the olive egger!
